Customer expectations have evolved, specifications have become more demanding, and there is a growing requirement for suppliers to demonstrate robust quality management practices. Achieving ISO 9001 certification and Bolt Importer Charter recognition is part of Blacks Fasteners' ongoing investment in meeting these expectations and providing confidence in the products and services we supply.

ISO 9001 is the world's most widely recognised Quality Management System standard, providing a framework for organisations to establish consistent processes, improve performance and drive continual improvement. Achieving certification demonstrates that Blacks Fasteners has implemented and maintains an independently audited quality management system that meets internationally recognised standards.
As part of the certification process, we strengthened management controls, formalised quality processes and reviewed systems across the business to ensure quality and the customer experience remains at the centre of how we operate. More importantly, ISO 9001 is not a one-off achievement, it is built around continual improvement.
Strengthening Assurance in the Structural Fastener Supply Chain
Alongside ISO 9001 certification, Blacks Fasteners has also achieved recognition under the SCNZ Bolt Importer Charter. The Charter is a specialist quality assurance programme that recognises importers who demonstrate strong procurement practices, supplier management, quality control and traceability for structural fasteners and anchor bolts supplied into the New Zealand construction industry.
Blacks Fasteners is one of only six organisations in New Zealand to hold this recognition. The Charter requires independent auditing and places a strong focus on supplier due diligence, traceability, documentation and ongoing quality assurance. Increasingly, these requirements are being specified on projects throughout New Zealand, making quality assurance and compliance more important than ever.
