Blacks Fasteners began trading in New Zealand in 1989 with the aim of supplying a comprehensive range of top quality fasteners at competitive prices to customers throughout New Zealand.
With our team of trained professionals offering unmatched customer service, we have grown to eight easily accessible locations around New Zealand - Nelson, Blenheim, Ashburton, Timaru, Dunedin, Invercargill and two stores in Christchurch.

Blacks Fasteners Pounamu or Greenstone
This magnificent piece of stone was discovered in the Westland area of New Zealand in the 1990’s. It now sits in pride of place at our company headquarters in Christchurch, on top of its stunning hand carved Rimu wood stand with Pāua shell inserts.
The stand has special meanings contained within the carving which represent:

- Kōmārohi, Pounamu - Be Strong
- Mahi ngatahi - Collaboration, Cooperation, One Team
This beautiful stone and its stand are a visual demonstration of the value our company places on being inclusive and working as a team.

Began trading in Wordsworth Street, Sydenham, Christchurch.
1997
Shifted to new larger premises in Gasson Street, Sydenham.
2001
Invercargill branch opened in Victoria Avenue.
2002
Nelson branch opened in Pascoe Street.
2005
Sockburn branch, Christchurch, opened on Blenheim Road.
2006
Invercargill branch shifted to larger premises in Bond Street.
2007
Started stocking Fischer products.
2008
Nelson branch shifted to larger premises in Nayland Road.
2010
Blenheim branch opened in Main Road.
