Warehousing & Trade Counter Opportunities
Invercargill Central, Southland| Permanent
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Trade Counter & Stores Team Member to join our Invercargill team.
This is not your typical retail customer service role. It’s a unique combination of customer service, trade counter and hands-on stores work, so no two days are exactly the same. You will spend part of your day helping customers at the counter and part of your day getting stuck into the practical side of the store, picking orders, receiving stock, replenishing shelves and keeping everything organised.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role, offering regular weekday hours and the opportunity to become an important part of our Invercargill team.
You will play an important role in keeping our store running smoothly and making sure our customers receive great service.
Your responsibilities will include:

Serving customers at the trade counter and providing friendly, helpful service.

Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock.
-
Replenishing stock and assisting with stock control.

Maintaining accurate stock levels.

Keeping the warehouse, trade counter and store clean, tidy and well organised.

Assisting customers with product enquiries and finding the right products for their needs.

Processing customer orders accurately and on time.

Working closely with the wider team to meet customer and operational priorities.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and enjoys variety. You will be comfortable talking to customers one minute and getting stuck into hands-on stores work the next.
Ideally, you’ll have:

Previous experience in either retail, sales, warehousing or similar environments.

A friendly and confident approach to customer service.

Good attention to detail and organisational skills.

The ability to work independently while also contributing to a team.

Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

A good level of physical fitness, as this is an active, hands-on role that will keep you moving throughout the day.

Warehouse, Trade Counter & Delivery Person

Blacks Fasteners is a proudly New Zealand owned company supplying quality products and solutions to the engineering, manufacturing, building and construction industries.
We’re looking for a reliable, practical and customer-focused team member to join our Cromwell store. This is a varied, hands-on role combining warehouse, trade counter and delivery responsibilities, ideal for someone who enjoys keeping busy and working as part of a small team.
What you will be doing:
· Serving customers at the counter and providing friendly, knowledgeable service
· Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently
· Receiving and checking incoming stock and ensuring it is correctly stored
· Replenishing stock and keeping the warehouse and showroom tidy and organised
· Processing returned goods and credits in line with company procedures
· Preparing and prioritising customer deliveries
· Safely loading and unloading delivery vehicles
· Delivering goods to customers on time and in a professional and courteous manner
· Working closely with the wider team to keep things running smoothly
You will be reliable, organised and hands-on, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Ideally, you’ll have:
