Congratulations Amy Buckley

December 2011

A special thanks has been given to Blacks Fasteners for their support of Amy Buckley.

Amy, at 13yrs old, has been selected to represent New Zealand at the Aloha Gymfest in Hawaii in January 2012. Gymnastics is a sport that requires years of commitment and many hours of training. Amy began gymnastics at the age of 3, and started competing locally when she was 7. She currently trains 18 hours a week over 5 days, and this opportunity to compete internationally for the first time, is a fitting reward for her dedication and hard work.

Gasson Street Facelift

November 2011

Renovations at our Gasson Street store are almost complete and looking fantastic. The new store front design has been created by the architectural display team at Miller Studios, with branding input from Yellow Pencil, and has resulted in a spacious, functional and attractive retail environment. The new-look store has been designed with customers in mind and features new display units that show off some of the wide range of world renowned products and brands we carry in stock.

New flooring, lighting and counter space completes the picture with our Gasson Street store now the benchmark for future upgrades for the rest of our stores. We're very excited about the new style and look forward to showing it off to you, next time you visit.

Invercargill Branch shows off Ranfurly Shield
August 2011

As a sponsor of Southland's provincial rugby team, our Invercargill branch was fair busting with pride when the Ranfurly Shield was 'reclaimed' after the Southland Stags hard-fought 22-19 win over Canterbury. Naturally the arrival of the 'log-of-wood' for display in our Bond Street store gave the branch an opportunity for a friendly reminder to their Canterbury collegues of where the Shield really 'belongs'. Hold on tight to it, guys!
