Supporting Waimakariri New Zealand Emergency Response Team 12

Blacks Fasteners are proud to support New Zealand Civil Defence Waimakariri Emergency Response Team 12, in the construction of their new Mobile Command Centre. The team has been active in all of the recent emergency operations around Canterbury and further afield, particularly the recent earthquakes in the region. NZRT-12  provides USAR response capability to the Canterbury Emergency Management Group.

The new Mobile Command Trailer provides the volunteer team with a centralised and rapid-response support centre fitted with communications and rescue resources. Fundraising for the unit has allowed production to commence and the unit is expected to be completed by August 2011.
